Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is among the top 450 universities in the world. In the 2025 edition of the QS World University Rankings, the results of which were announced last June 4, the University is ranked 442nd, climbing 63 positions compared to the previous year: this is the highest ranking in the last ten years. In Italy, it ranks second for the student-to-teacher ratio. According to Quacquarelli Symonds analysts, there is also an improvement in Employer Reputation, where Università Cattolica is 267th in the world.
The QS World University Rankings 2025 evaluated 5,663 institutions worldwide, of which 1,503 entered this year. In our country, 42 universities were included.
Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is ranked among the top 350 universities in the world, according to the ranking by Times Higher Education.
It is also among the top 500 according to the ARWU ranking, with excellent positions in Food Science & Technology (top 100) and in Dentistry & Oral Sciences and Medical Technology (top 150).
Cattolica is ranked in 19 subjects, two more than last year.

In general, Università Cattolica is among the top 100 universities in the world for 3 subjects (Theology, Divinity and Religious Studies, Nursing, Classics), which becomes 8 if we consider the top 150 (including Agriculture & Forestry, Modern Languages, Psychology, Law, Communication & Media Studies).
A significant national improvement has also been recorded by Classics, which moves from seventh to fifth place, and by Nursing, which ranks first in Italy.
