• As a pre-paid bank card: An agreement between the University and the Banca Popolare di Sondrio also makes it possible to set up your card as a reloadable pre-paid bank card free of charge. The card will carry an IBAN number, although there is no obligation to open an account. When activated, your card can be used like any other bank card: With no additional charges, it can be used for small contactless payments, e.g., to recharge your phone credit, and pay tuition and university fees. It also allows you to receive refunds due for tuition and university fees, and payment of study grants and Erasmus grants.

How to activate your Carta Ateneo+ as a pre-paid bank card:

 If you entered an Italian address while submitting your application, the Ateneo+ card will be delivered to the said address. Please note that you will not receive the card before September 2024.
Students residing abroad will be required to schedule an appointment to pick up their card from the international office of each campus, further details will be provided via email.
 

How to activate your Carta Ateneo+:

You can go to any desk of Banca Popolare di Sondrio, however, the following ones are affiliated with Cattolica:

• Milan Campus: Largo A. Gemelli 1, 20123 Milan (inside the main campus)
• Rome Campus: Largo A. Gemelli 8, 00168 Rome (at Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli)
• Piacenza Campus: Via Cristoforo Colombo 18, 29122 Piacenza
• Brescia Campus: the closest desk is in Via Antonio Gramsci 15, 25121 Brescia

Bring with you:

• valid ID document. Non-EU citizens are required to use their passport.
• codice fiscale issued by Agenzia delle Entrate.
• enrolment registration (available in portale iscrizione ai corsi). For non-EU citizens, as an alternative: admission letter (available in your Self Service Center).
• for non-EU citizens: permit of stay.

The activation of the pre-paid card is not mandatory, but we recommend it to ensure a smooth payment of the tuition and university fees.
