Accessing university buildings and cafeteria – “GREEN PASS“ or valid equivalent
Do students need to be vaccinated or tested to access University buildings and the university cafeteria?
Students must possess and present their GREEN PASS or equivalent (eg European certification for COVID vaccine or recovery or negative test) to access university buildings and cafeteria.
I was vaccinated with Sinovac, Sputnik V and other vaccines out of EMA list. What can I do?
- According to the Ministry of Health, citizens vaccinated abroad with a full cycle of vaccination not authorized by EMA may receive a booster dose with m-RNA vaccine starting from 28 days and up to a maximum of 6 months (180 days) from the date of their last dose of the first cycle of vaccination.
The completion of this integrated vaccination course is approved for getting the Green Pass.
- If over 6 months have passed from the completion of the first cycle of vaccination with vaccines not authorized by EMA, as well as in case of incomplete vaccination cycle, it is possible to get a complete primary vaccination cycle with m-RNA vaccine.
If you are yet to travel to Italy, make sure you get a vaccination certificate issued by your State or local health authority. It must contain at least the following:- student identification (name, surname, date of birth);
- vaccine information (name and batch);
- date(s) of the vaccination;
- Issuing institution/authority (eg State, Health Authority).
This document must be issued in one of the following languages: English, Italian, Spanish or French.
If the certificate was issued in another language, it must be accompanied by an official notarized translation.
If your situation falls into scenarios 1 or 2, you can get tested on selected days to access campus and services.
Non-EU students do not have a GREEN PASS or EU equivalent certification. Can they still access University facilities and services?
- They have completed a full cycle of vaccination of one of these EMA approved vaccines:
- Comirnaty (Pfizer-BioNtech)
- Spikevax (Moderna)
- Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca)
- Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)
- o Covishield (Serum Institute of India)*
o R-CoVI (R-Pharm)*

- Certification documentation must state the following information:
- vaccine information (name and batch);student identification (name, surname, date of birth);
- date(s) of the vaccination;
- Issuing institution/authority (eg State, Health Authority).

Recovery certificates are also considered valid and equivalent to the Green Pass if they are in the languages listed above and include the following information:
- student identification (name, surname, date of birth);
- SarS-CoV-2 infection verification date with positive test (date of first positive swab);
- Issuing institution/authority (eg State, Health Authority).
Students who do not have documentation that meet the above criteria will need to present proof of a negative test done within 48hrs in order to access campus.

Can international students who decided to travel to Italy and have not yet been vaccinated register to get the vaccine in Italy?
You will need to have an active Italian cell phone number and your official Italian Tax Code (Codice Fiscale) issued by either the Consulate or the Italian Tax Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate) to register on the Lombardy Region dedicated website. Follow the instructions found in the section "Registered with AIRE and other categories provided for by the Ordinance 7/2021, SASN staff, foreigners, STP ".
Within 24/48 hours after registration (pre-access) you will be able to proceed with the booking of the anti Covid-19 vaccine. Students can access the booking service at this link: https://start.prenotazionevaccinicovid.regione.lombardia.it/cit/#/login/
