Life in Milan

This page is dedicated to international students who are arriving to Cattolica’s Milan campus for our Short Programmes (Summer or Winter).

Here you can find all the important resources that will be useful to you at the beginning, as well as during your entire stay at Cattolica.

Milan is a very well connected city that is divided into zones. The central area of Milan includes zone Mi1 -Mi3.

A basic fare ticket that can be purchased for €2.20, to be used on all forms of public transport in the city (Metro, bus, tram) includes zones Mi1-Mi3. Tickets are valid for 90 minutes after the first validation, and can be used multiple times on various forms of transport within that time.

We recommend to International students to get the monthly pass, which is a cost effective way to use the public transport system.

Check the official ATM website for more information.

YesMilano is an association founded by the Municipality of Milano and the Chamber of Commerce of Milano, Monza, Brianza, Lodi, created to activate partnerships and collaborations with local businesses, global brands, universities, cultural institutions, and other public entities.

They provide useful information to students regarding many things, particularly for the application of the permit of stay and the fiscal code. Visit their site here.
