Articulation agreements are structured academic partnerships between universities, allowing students to complete part of their degree programme at one institution and the remainder at another, with full credit recognition between the two.
At Cattolica, we welcome international students through articulation agreements in both our 3-year undergraduate degrees and our 2-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees, taught in English or Italian.
Articulation Models
We currently offer a wide range of articulation models, with the examples below being some of the most popular. However, we are flexible and creative, eager to explore and develop other tailored solutions to meet the specific needs and interests of our partner universities and their students.
Bachelor’s Level
1+2 / 2+2 Model

- Students complete one/two years of their Bachelor’s degree at their home institution.
- They then transfer to Cattolica to complete the remaining two years.
2-Year Master of Science (M.Sc.) Level
3+2 Model

- Students complete three years of their Bachelor’s degree at their home institution.
- The fourth year serves as the final year of their Bachelor’s degree (with credit recognition by their home university) and the first year of Cattolica’s M.Sc. degree.
- At the end of the fifth year (second year of MSc degree at Cattolica), students graduate with both:
- A Bachelor’s degree from their home institution.
- An M.Sc. degree from Cattolica.
4+1 and 4+1.5 Model

- Students complete a four-year Bachelor’s degree at their home institution.
- They then complete one year or one year and a half of study at Cattolica to obtain an M.Sc. degree. At Cattolica, we recognize specific credits earned by students at their home institution during their BSc studies, which will be counted towards Cattolica's MSc programme.
- At the end of the four/ four and and half years, students earn a MSc degree from Cattolica.
1+1 Model

- Students complete one year of their Master’s degree at their home institution.
- They then transfer to Cattolica to complete the remaining one year.
