Semester Abroad
Semester Abroad programmes allow students to spend one semester or a full academic year at a European or non-European partner university.
Courses are agreed in advance and may be recognised within the study plan, subject to academic approval.
Double Degrees
Double Degree programmes enable students to complete part of their studies at Università Cattolica and part at a partner university abroad, leading to the award of a degree recognised in Italy and in the host country.
IELTS preparation courses
Cattolica International offers English language courses designed to prepare students for the international IELTS certification. Courses may be delivered on campus or online.
Language courses
Language courses abroad are offered in collaboration with partner institutions and external providers.
Course structure, duration and entry requirements vary depending on the programme.
Summer Programmes
Summer Programmes consist of short-term academic courses at partner universities. Duration typically ranges from 2 to 8 weeks.
Students select modules and may request academic recognition, subject to approval
Internships abroad
Internships abroad include a range of opportunities to undertake work-based experiences in an international context, during or after the degree.
Available options may include:
- Internships identified independently or through the University’s Stage & Placement (STeP) portal
- Structured programmes in collaboration with international organisations or institutions
- Faculty-specific traineeships (e.g. in education, healthcare or international cooperation)
- Institutional programmes such as MAECI–CRUI traineeships at Italian diplomatic offices abroad
International volunteering
International volunteering includes participation in projects focused on cooperation, development and community support.
Opportunities may take place in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Thesis abroad
The Thesis Abroad programme offers scholarships to support students who have independently identified an international opportunity to carry out research in preparation for their final thesis.
Opportunities are open to students from all Faculties, subject to eligibility criteria.
