Università Cattolica organizes two Orientation Events per semester to accommodate students who arrive earlier / later depending on their course selection. The Orientation Event is a fundamental opportunity for students to get all the useful information they need for their stay in Milan and to meet other international students. Students receive a detailed programme by email one week before the Orientation Event on campus. Orientation events will either take place in Largo A. Gemelli, 1 (main campus) or in via Carducci, 28/30 (Cattolica International office building). During the orientation students will be informed on how to organize their course schedule, select courses, find classrooms, have access to campus facilities (cafeteria, library, health center and sport service etc).

Service learning is about connecting learning in the classroom with real-world experiences in the local community, it instills the habit of performing a service for others. Some volunteers begin their placement by assisting in a classroom, and then gradually take over responsibility for teaching a lesson or a whole class. International teaching projects give volunteers a new outlook on the world, while broadening the horizons of students and providing local teachers with desirable assistance. Who should apply Volunteers with an interest in teaching, education, psychology, social work, human development, humanities and with an Italian studies background, or simply volunteers with a desire to make a difference in international communities. First step – Acknowledgement Once e-nominated by your home institution, you will receive an email with a link to complete the UCSC Cattolica Online Application. The following documents are required: One passport-size photos (3x4cm) ID document/Passport (scanned copy) Learning Agreement/Course Request List containing your planned courses in our institution Most recent Transcripts of Records obtained in your current year of study. Italian Language Proficiency Report completed from you and from your language instructor English proficiency certificate Second step – Acceptance Upon receipt of your application and the enclosed additional required documents, UCSC International will process the documentation. Third step – Information Admitted students will start receiving information regarding their stay at Cattolica via e-mail within one month upon submission of their application. Fourth step – Course Registration Your learning agreement or course request list is your first indication of what you intend to study at Cattolica.

Cattolica International Curriculum is made of courses offered on a semester basis (both Spring and Fall). Cattolica Academic Curriculum is made of courses from the Facoltà (Schools) at Università Cattolica and over 30 curricula either at undergraduate and graduate level. The International Curriculum courses are elective courses within the Facoltà di Scienze Linguistiche e Letterature Straniere. The Cattolica International Curriculum has been created specifically for international students only and courses are formulated to have an international teaching approach. The curriculum is managed by the Cattolica International department, and this means that it operates in a different way to the wider Cattolica Academic Curriculum.
