Università Cattolica Climbs 60+ Spots in QS World University Rankings 2025

  

Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore achieved its highest ranking in the past decade, placing 442nd, which is a remarkable jump of 63 positions from the previous year. This places the university among the top 450 universities globally. Additionally, in Italy, it is ranked second in terms of student-faculty ratio. Analysts from Quacquarelli Symonds have noted improvements in Employer Reputation, with the university now ranking 267th in the world.
 

We are pleased with this significant advancement in the ranking of the best universities in the world,” says Pier Sandro Cocconcelli, Vice-Rector and delegate for the Coordination of Internationalisation Projects of the University. “A result that confirms the quality of the educational system of our University, evidenced by the score obtained in the Faculty-Student Ratio. Other indicators also contributed to the improvement of our performance: the attention given to sustainability and the reputation our University enjoys among employers; of particular importance to our students is the impressive 91% employment rate within one year of graduation.”

The QS World University Rankings for 2025 evaluated 5,663 institutions worldwide, with 1,503 ranked this year.

The QS ranking of the world's best universities is compiled using nine indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, international student ratio, employment outcomes, international research network, and focus on sustainability.
