The Advanced Global Studies programme is a 1-Year Specialising Master entirely taught in English. Through this programme you’ll explore international relations, economics, politics, law, human security and sustainable development through a balanced mix of theory, case studies and applied projects—all taught by ASERI’s distinguished faculty and industry practitioners.

What makes this programme unique?

  • Human security & sustainability focus: Special emphasis on strategies to address security challenges and drive sustainable growth worldwide.

  • Multidisciplinary approach: Combines social sciences, policy analysis and project management to develop versatile, globally-minded leaders.

  • World-class faculty & practitioners: Course content is delivered by an international roster of scholars and experts—from Oxford, LSE, UN agencies, the European Investment Bank, the EBRD, and more—ensuring both academic rigor and real-world insights.

  • Applied learning: Real-world group projects and simulations that mirror challenges faced by governments, NGOs and multinational organisations.

What are the benefits of studying in Milan?

  • Policy & research hubs: Milan hosts major think-tanks and research centres—like the OECD–Italia centre and the Ambrosetti Forum—where you can attend seminars on international development, governance, and security.

  • International business nexus: As Italy’s financial capital, the city is home to global corporations and trade associations, offering guest lectures and live case studies in cross-border economics and corporate diplomacy.
