In addition, the MIB executive class offers:
  • A Project Work (either a Business Plan, Consulting Project, or Research Project) to meet participants current or future professional needs
  • Online materials and tutorials for basic contents of each subject and face-to-face classes to discuss more advanced contents and case studies
  • Pathways and learning labs based on a selection of electives to enhance expertise at the edge of innovation management and business topics, in emerging areas and evolving industries
The project work represents an opportunity for participants to put into practice the management and leadership skills acquired throughout the programme and to enjoy direct interaction with leading companies. Each project is supervised by a professor.

Participants are free to tailor their project to meet their future professional needs.

Consulting Project
Consulting project is an excellent opportunity to put into practice the range of skills and knowledge you have acquired throughout the programme. It also provide an invaluable opportunity to extend your consulting experience and to collaborate directly with both national and international organizations.

The focus of the consulting project should be on performance improvement and involve strategic management issues and/or organizational changes, preferably with an international approach.

  • Launching a new product on international markets
  • Developing an existing product in new markets on an international scale
  • Conducting a global survey on gender diversity with recommendations
  • Re-positioning a start-up, revising of the business plan, identifying access to capital
  • Developing a comprehensive mobile offering for B2B clients worldwide
  • Exploring alternatives to current organizational structure in investment banking
      

Research Project
If you want to deepen your knowledge in one particular field, you can opt for a research-based project, leading to a MIB thesis. The subject should be in line with your career objectives and can focus on any technical or fundamental topic in business, management, leadership or finance. You work under the supervision of a Cattolica Professor.
  

Business Plan
The MIB Executives’ Class boosts entrepreneurial spirit and assists participants interested in setting up their own business. This project allows you to confront your passions and ideas with the business world. The aim of entrepreneurial projects, such as drawing up a business plan, start-up or buyout, must be to evaluate the economic feasibility of a new business idea. It can be worked on individually or within a team.

A prominent faculty of over 20 teachers and researchers working across the campus deliver the Master. They are the pillars of our academic excellence. They shape and direct students' learning so that the business and management expertise offered is state of the art.

A distinctive aspect of our faculty is its multicultural composition. It helps students explore and understand issues from insightful angles and different perspectives. In addition to the permanent faculty members, there are visiting professors during the academic year.

Our faculty's cutting-edge insights into business issues and management practices are enriched by their involvement with business people and organizations through consulting and executive education activities. This benefits the Master's classroom as well. Business executives are regular guests, thus ensuring the relevance and practicality of our management education.

The programme aims to equip MIB students with diverse career opportunities across various roles and regions.


Graduates in International Business can explore careers in:

  • Large Multinational Enterprises: With the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams, graduates can enter a wide range of functional areas, applying management skills in an international context.
  • Consulting Firms: Many consulting projects focus on supporting multinationals with international positioning and the efficient integration of global subsidiary networks. The Master in International Business prepares students to manage cross-border projects.
  • Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs): Graduates can assume roles such as Business Development Manager or Export Manager, identifying and capitalising on international market opportunities through export strategies or other market entry modes.
  • Government Agencies and NGOs: With a focus on applied economics and economic policy, the programme prepares students to understand the impact of governments and supranational institutions on global business. Graduates are well-suited for roles within government agencies and NGOs operating internationally.

Typical job profiles include: Business Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Financial Manager, Business Analyst, Logistics Manager, Management Consultant, Import-Export Specialist, and Entrepreneur.

Pre-courses (optional) started on September 16, 2024, while the programme started on October 4, 2024

In order to obtain the degree you must attend at least 80% of classes and obtain a minimum of 60 ECTS.

Kick-off week 1

One-week full immersion to get introduced to the programme, build the participants group, start developing your general management knowledge and gaining global experience.
October - December 2024 Classes 2 days per week on campus:
Friday 5.30 PM - 7.30 PM and Saturday 9.00 AM - 1.00 PM + e-learning modules + Business Talks (Mondays and Tuesdays, not mandatory)
January - June 2025 Classes 2 days per week on campus:
Friday 5.30 PM - 7.30 PM and Saturday 9.00 AM - 1.00 PM + e-learning modules
April 2025
Final week

Participants attend the final modules, complete the evaluation process and define the MIB Executives’ Class project work.

The closing ceremony is expected between October and November 2025.
