The Food Processing: Innovation and Tradition programme is a two-year Master of Science taught entirely in English. You’ll learn scientific and engineering principles to design new food products, optimise existing processes, and ensure safety and quality from conception to market. Emphasis on circular-economy methods will equip you to implement waste-management strategies and sustainable production techniques.

What makes this programme unique?

  • R&D & product design: Hands-on labs and courses teaching you to develop prototypes, cost raw-material inputs, and draft manufacturing budgets.
  • Quality & safety metrics: In-depth training on food-safety standards, international certifications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Circular-economy focus: Learn to minimise waste and maximise resource reuse through advanced process engineering.
  • Applied engineering skills: Simulation projects and case studies on thermal processing, preservation techniques, and equipment design.
  • Industry placement: Internship or applied research project embedded in the curriculum, collaborating with Cremona’s food-tech labs or partner manufacturers.
