The goal of the Linguistic Computing degree programme is to help students learn important skills and knowledge, including:
 
  • Understanding how computers can process language and text, and knowing the theories and methods behind it;
  • Learning how to organise, manage, and share large amounts of language data to help computers understand meaning;
  • Gaining the skills needed to take on key roles in marketing, communication, and innovation in businesses that use digital tools in new ways;
  • Being able to communicate well in at least two major languages, which could be from Europe or other parts of the world.

This programme prepares students to work with technology and language in modern, digital workplaces.
