Step-by-Step Application Guide

 

How do I submit my application for a bachelor's degree at Università Cattolica? 

Follow our step-by-step online guide to create your account, upload your documents, and pay the application fee. 

 

Important Notes  

  • You cannot apply for a second-choice programme. Choose your programme carefully.  

  • Check the application timeline for the programme before starting.  
 
  1. Access the Online Application portal
     
  2. Create your account using an email address you check often. This ensures you receive important updates.  
     
  3. You will receive a confirmation email from registration.dashboard@unicattolica.it. Follow the instructions to verify your account. If you do not receive it, check your spam folder or contact international.inquiry@unicatt.it.  
     
  4. Log in to the Online Application Portal and create your password 
  

Fill out the application form.  

  • The form takes about 30 minutes if you have all documents ready.  
  • You can save and continue later on your application if you need more time.  
  • Log back in anytime (before the deadline) to finish where you left off.

Upload the following in preferably PDF format (max 5MB each) and rename each attached file in English (for example: High school diploma, CV, Transcript), make sure that your files are clearly legible:  

 

General documents: 
 
  • Passport or ID (single page with photo and data). If you have both an EU and a non-EU passports, upload both. If you are a NON-EU student, upload your passport if available. 
     
  • Updated version of your Curriculum Vitae (CV/Resume) 
     
  • Motivation letter: if you are applying to Communication Management or Psychology, use the dedicated formats. For all other English-taught programmes, refer to this template as a guideline.  
    Type into the downloadable word document and, once completed, save it in PDF format. Handwritten letters are not accepted.  
     
  • If applicable:  
    • Italian Fiscal Code  
    • Italian Residency Permit  

 

High School Documents:  
 
  • If graduated: High School Diploma and Transcripts for last two years.  
     
  • If currently enrolled: transcripts from your school years 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and, if available, the most up-to-date transcripts from school year 2025/2026.

Always upload the original documents issued directly by the school.  
If they are not officially issued in Italian, English, French or Spanish, please have them translated into English or Italian by a certified translator. 

Scan your transcripts of each year in a single document and in chronological order. 

NB: For evaluation purposes, our office reserves the right to additionally request the Statements of Comparability and verification, issued by CIMEA. 

 

Other documents based on specific requirements:  
 
  • IB Diploma: Refer to the IB admission policy.  
     
  • British Qualifications (A-levels): If you have already passed the A-levels, upload the official certificates issued by the relevant board/s. If you have not passed the A-levels yet, fill in the A-levels declarations form and upload it in the “Additional documents” section.
     
  • American High School Diploma: If you are taking the AP exams in the upcoming May session fill in the AP exams declaration form and upload it in the "Additional documents" section. 
    If you have already passed one or more AP exams, you must upload your AP Official Score Report (in PDF format) downloadable from your personal page on the College Board website. 
     
  • SAT or ACT Scores: If applicable by entry requirements, official SAT or ACT score report (PDF document), downloadable from your personal page on the College Board/ACT website. The report must include your full name/surname and your Total Score, Sections Scores and Test Scores. If you took the test several times, submit scores from every SAT/ACT test date you have participated in. Superscores are not accepted. Send your scores electronically as well as from your College Board/ACT account to Università Cattolica (our code is 7414 for SAT / 8088 for ACT). 
     
  • English Language Certificate: Check the English language requirements here.  

 

For evaluation purposes, the International Admissions Team reserves the right to additionally request the Statements of Comparability and verification, issued by CIMEA. 

 
  1. Click Save and review the application.  
     
  2. Once you have reviewed the application, select “Save & Pay”. 
     
  3. Choose Pay Online and click Buy Now.  
    • You will be redirected to PayPal to complete the payment.  
    • Do not close the page until the payment is confirmed.  
    • After payment, click Return to Merchant Website to finalise the submission of your application.  
       

If PayPal is not available in your country, contact international.inquiry@unicatt.it for alternative methods.  

 
  1. Once the payment is registered, go back to the Online Application Portal.  
     
  2. Click SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION.  
     
  3. To sign your application, type your full name.  
     
  4. Click Verify and Submit.  
    • You will see a Thank you for submitting your application! message when complete.  
    • Your application status should show as 100% complete.

Note: Incomplete or incorrect applications may cause delays in the assessment or a negative response.

 
  1. The International Admissions Team will process your application.  
     
  2. You will get email notifications with updates. Check your inbox and spam folder.  
     
  3. You can view your status on the Online Application Portal.  

 

When Will I Receive a Decision? 
You’ll be notified by email. Review admission feedback timelines for your chosen programme under “Application timeline.”

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)  - Bachelor’s degrees 

Can I apply for more than one programme?  

No, you can only apply for one programme. Second-choice programmes are not allowed.  

 

How do I know if my application was received?  
You will receive a confirmation email. If you do not, check your spam folder or contact international.inquiry@unicatt.it.  

Do I need to translate my documents?

If your documents are not in English, Italian, French, or Spanish, you must have them translated into English or Italian by a certified translator. 

 

What if I am missing a document?  
You can save your progress and upload missing documents later, but everything must be submitted before the deadline.  

 

What should I do if I uploaded the wrong document? 
You can delete and replace any document before submitting your application. If you've already submitted it, you cannot replace/add any document.

What if PayPal is not available in my country?  

Contact international.inquiry@unicatt.it for alternative payment methods.  

 

Can I pay the application fee after submitting the application?  
No. You must complete the payment before submitting your application. Once the payment is confirmed, you must return to the portal to submit your application.  

 

Is the application fee refundable?  
No, the 75€ aplication fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

How do I know if I submitted my application successfully? 

Once you've submitted your application and paid the fee, your status on the portal should show 100% complete. You’ll also see a “Thank you” confirmation message. 

 

How do I know if my application is complete and ready for review? 
The International Admissions Team will check your application, and you will be notified via email if your application is complete. 

 

How do I check my application status?  
Log into the Online Application Portal and check your dashboard.  

 

Will I get email updates?  
Yes, you will be notified by email whenever there is an update.  

 

What if I don't receive updates?  
Check your spam folder or contact the relevant admissions team
