What is the entrance exam for Medicine and Surgery at the Rome campus?
The entrance exam is a written test that all candidates must take for the admission to the Medicine and Surgery programme at our Rome Campus.

How is the entrance exam organised?
- The exam is taken online on 25 March 2026 using the Proctor Exam system.
- You can take the test from home. Your test will be supervised online.
- If too many students register, extra sessions may be added on 26 March 2026.
What is the exam format and how long does it take?
- The exam has 65 multiple choice questions.
- You will have 65 minutes to complete the test.
- At the end of the exam, you will be asked to answer 7 additional backup questions. The answers provided to these backup questions will be used as a replacement only if any of the ordinary questions administered during the test are found to contain incorrect data.

How is the entrance exam scored?
- You get 1 point for each correct answer.
- -0.25 points for each wrong answer.
- No points for questions left blank.
- You need at least 20 points out of 65 to pass.
What are the exam rules?
You cannot use any device, mobile phones, calculators, tablets, books, or notes during the Entrance Exam.

Online simulator
After paying the € 210 Application Fee and submitting your application, you will receive access to an online simulator with about 3,000 practice questions. These questions are for practice only and are not going to be used in the real exam.

How do I check my exam results?
This code:
- Is different from the PIN used during the exam.
- Will be sent to you via email by the International Admissions Office.
Your exam results will be provided as follows:
- After taking the Entrance Exam, you will be given access via email to an online platform managed by our test partners, which will allow you to review your exam and see your final score.
- Later on, you will receive another email containing your anonymous code, that you can use to check your position in the ranking.
- The full ranking lists will be published on this website.
Test correction and score viewing
From 14:00 on 14 April 2026, by accessing the https://consultazioneonline.ilmiotest.it portal, the corrections of the papers carried out on 25 March valid for admission to the academic year 2026/2027 will be available for consultation:
- select Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the UC Rome 2026/2027 Medicine and Surgery test;
- enter the username (PIN code) and password (present in the second e-mail activating the exam platform).
It should be noted that, pursuant to art. 4 of the call for applications, in order to be admitted to the degree course, in any case, it will be necessary to have obtained a final score of not less than 20 points out of the total 65 achievable.
The final rankings will be published on the following dates:
- from 21 April 2026 the EU ranking;
- from 28 April 2026 the non-EU ranking.
Those who are placed in a useful position in the respective merit ranking with reference to the number of places available pursuant to art. 1.
