Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

Cattolica International

Orientation events

Università Cattolica organizes two Orientation Events per semester to accommodate students who arrive earlier / later depending on their course selection. The Orientation Event is a fundamental opportunity for students to get all the useful information they need for their stay in Milan and to meet other international students.

The date of arrival written on the admission letter is always one day prior to students’ allocated Orientation event.

Students receive a detailed programme by email one week before the Orientation Event on campus. Orientation events will either take place in Largo A. Gemelli, 1 (main campus) or in via Carducci, 28/30 (Cattolica International office building).

Orientation events are spread over 3 days and the programme consists of:

  • Day 1 (Tuesday afternoon):
Registration on Campus (collection of the student ID and Permit of Stay kit), Welcome Address, introduction to Campus Services and Life in Milan, Introduction to student association ESN, campus tour, and aperitivo buffet offered by Cattolica.

  • Day 2 (Wednesday morning /afternoon):
Information sessions on International Curriculum, Academic Curriculum courses and Italian language courses.

  • Day 3 (Thursday morning):
Information sessions on Academic Curriculum (in Italian language), and an online Q&A info session.

During the orientation students will be informed on how to organize their course schedule, select courses, find classrooms, have access to campus facilities (cafeteria, library, health center and sport service etc).

Participation to the Orientation Event is highly recommended.
